The Department of Tourism (DOT) finally launched the new logo and slogan for the country’s tourism campaign. Look:

They are also using #1forfun, I don’t know if it’s an official slogan (or just a plain hash-tag on Twitter) which I hope not because it’s not an original idea (No to Plagiarism!) see here trunc.it/jmapv
Netizens are divided with the new campaign. Some says, “it lacks depth!”, some shouts “give it a chance, bitch!” As for me, I don’t think it’s a good slogan for a TOURISM CAMPAIGN. It doesn’t tell much of what we really have here. And hey, it’s not always fun here in the Philippines nor in other countries. At sa panahon ngayon, kapag sinabing fun, nigh-out sa the Fort ang unang pumapasok sa isipan. I still prefer Wow! Philippines, our country is a paradise.
Anyway, my opinion really don’t matter. As a Pinoy, DOT got my back. Their campaign will help revive our dying tourism industry, and I’m here to support—- 100 %!
I heard Rebecca Black loves our new tourism campaign! We can borrow her viral song “Friday” if we want to. “Fun fun fun fun, looking forward to the weekend!” :)
